As part of our continued testing schedule we are pleased to announce that a selection of tiles have now passed 400 cycles freeze/thaw frost test at CERAM® building technology this week.

The UK standard at the moment is Method D and the pass rate for this test is 100 frost test cycles. In addition to this many of the UK manufacturers are keen to move to the more rigorous test of Method E. The Pass rate adopted by the UK Manufacturers is 150 cycles for Frost testing to method E. The belief is that method E will show a better quality tile more suited to the ever changing UK climate.

Viewed by many of the UK Manufacturers as the most stringent test and a benchmark for tiles sold in the UK , a selection of tiles from our Ashbury Range have achieved 440 cycles on Method E Frost testing. These are on continuous test and the result will be released in due course.

A selection of our Ashbury Clay Roof Tiles have recently been tested by CERAM® Building Technology as part of our regular testing schedule. We are pleased to announce that the tiles have passed through 300 cycles of the 'Freeze - Thaw - Frost' test and are yet to show any signs of damage.
